Parent - "Discipline" VS "Harm ?"

 

Do you think the following story is "discipline" or "hurt"?

When parenting children, some parents may use punishment as a way, hoping that their children will understand that they have to bear the consequences for doing something wrong. However, if the method of punishment is inappropriate and excessive, it can cause harm to the child ,and cause child abuse.
